"Authority Song"
Misheard Lyrics: I fight Iori, Iori always wins
Original Lyrics: I fight authority, authority always wins
|
Story about this misheard lyric by: Holly Who is Iori, you say? He is a character from a video game called 'King of Fighters'. For a long time, I thought this was someone singing about how every time he played 'King of Fighters', he would always lose to Iori (though it didn't quite fit the rest of the song). I did not know that this song came out before Iori or 'King of Fighters' existed until someone set me straight, and, boy, was I embarassed. |
Funny Lyrics:
"Jack and Dianne"
The Funny Lyrics: Suckin' on a chili dog
Why They're Funny: This lyric makes me crack up every time I hear it. Can't you just picture two young lovers suckin' on the same chili dog, Lady and the Tramp style?

The Funny Lyrics: There's a black man with a black cat
Living in a black neighborhood. Why They're Funny: You'd probably think the setting were generalized by the songwriter, but this was actually a us Army camoufage experiment Ronald Reagan foisted upon ghetto welfare recipients as a requirment for retaining benefits.
