Story about this misheard lyric by: Shawn the Parrothead My boyfriend and I were dining at Margaritaville here in Orlando. This song plays every time the Margarita Volcano explodes. Jimmy is singing, and then they go into this keyboard solo, but before that Jimmy says 'Mr. Utley'. Ted and I were singing along, as we generally do to Jimmy's songs, as I am a parrothead from back in the day. Ted sings, 'Mr. Ugly', which made me say 'Who do you think Mr. Ugly is? He's saying Mr. Utley.' to which Ted replies 'That makes no sense, who's Mr. Utley?' So I told him. Now he sings it that way to make me giggle at dinner. |
