Songs That Open With Their Titles:

"Some Enchanted Evening"
Opening Lines:
Some enchanted evening You may see a stranger, you may see a stranger Across a crowded room And somehow you know, You know even then That somewhere
Comments:
The rest of the opening line is: "... you'll see her Again and again." "Some Enchanted Evening" was from the 1949 Broadway musical (also was in the movie of the same title a few years later) of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II's "South Pacific". It was the first time that Broadway music met up with opera (Pinza was a famous opera singer of the time) since "Porgy & Bess" in the 1930's. Of course later on, with Andrew Lloyd Weber, the blending of the two musical styles would become more common place.
