This song used to scare me as a child because I didn't want to become a zombie. It didn't help that the children singing on the cassette recording my mother used to play had a strong Chicago accent where /ʌ/ shifts to /ɔ/ making sunbeam sound like sombea(m) to an American living south of the great lakes.
