Why They're Nonsensical:
I love this musical-Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat-but these lines make no sense! He closes his eyes to look for something, then what he discovers is that someone is far away is weeping-how the heck would you know that from looking out a window? And if you did, surely you'd hear it from that distance, not see it! And if the whole world is sleeping, why is somebody crying? And what does 'any dream will do' have to do with any of that? I crack up every time I hear it.
