The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Creole lady marmalade
Why They're Inappropriate:
Firstly, the original song is set in New Orleans, not 'Moulin Rogue' (which is in Paris). So, they are taking a Creole person from Louisiana and setting her in France. Personally, I see nothing really wrong with the lyric, but it seems odd that they would leave that line, instead of changing it. The lyric made more sense in Labelle's version.

The Inappropriate Lyrics:
Creole lady marmalade
Why They're Inappropriate:
What the heck does Creole have to do with Lady Marmalade? And why is the name called Lady Marmalade? Someone like oranges?
