Image Parodies -> Album Covers -> V -> Various Artists - The Dark Side of the Christmas Tree

Albums aren't only known for their artwork, they can also be well known for an iconic piece of artwork that adorns the cover. Here at amIright, we're not content with parodying just the music and lyrics of songs, we need the whole package! So we've begun replacing the artwork on the various artist summary pages with new album covers submitted by visitors to the site.

The first image on the page is for Various Artists - The Dark Side of the Christmas Tree, followed by the original. Also check out the most recent parody covers submitted to the site.

So it's a parody of a parody, right? :V

To be honest, would be to admit that this is not a parody in any way. Definitions found on the internet define parody as "...a humorous or mocking imitation of something, using the same form as the original," "An imitation of the style of something with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect." This alteration of text alone, is neither humorous nor comic and isn't an imitation of the original covers style. The effect of this slight alteration is just an uninspired obvious statement. If the contributor had originated the initial parody, I would have given very high marks for creativity.
