Hi, how you doin' tonight, First of all I'm not an Obamacon but much of this crap we have today fell into his lap. It didn't all come to this overnight and it will take a LONG time for anyone to remedy it. Second, for the past 8 years or so (and during the 90s too) the Constitution has been used as toilet paper explicitly on the evening news and TV newsmen have been slipping in leads about our economy has been neglected by Clinton and Bush II and how the so-called Patriot Act has allowed for mass surveillances and abuses. They tell us of war prisoner torturings (which are illegal BTW) then they bombard us with stuff about who's on Dancing w/ the Stars, American Idol, and pop tart "stars" shaving their heads, going to rehab AGAIN, and who's zooming who. War has been glamorized as a gladiator sport on TV and then our troops return sick, disabled and crippled for life. Our Republic has become comfortably dumb, it's been asleep for quite a while. I don't mean to slam you or your views or your parody song either - it really isn't that bad or anything but please take a look at the past 2 decades. 20 years ago this time the Iron Curtain fell and America was on top, we had buried the hatchet with the USSR without commiting atomic suicide. Freedom had prevailed over communism (mostly). Now hatred, witch hunt mentality and violence is everywhere. We had a new Holocaust in Yugoslavia. What have we learned, Charlie Brown? I'm not trying to preach to you, have a gooning.
