"The End of The Curse of Bambino" by Johnny D" a parody of "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot
On September 30, 2005, I sang my parody "The End of The Curse of Bambino" at an amateur talent show at The First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Bedford, Massachusetts, as part of a fundraiser to benefit survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Here's a recording of my performance.

Very good performance Johnny D for a great cause.
Thank you, Red Ant. I think it qualifies as a "comedy song" because of how ridiculously awful my Gordon Lightfoot impression sounds!
Love the recording - and also Rocket Spam too! I am actually more partial to Rocket Spam (techie) as opposed to Bambino (sports). Wish you could record in a studio. ;-)
JD, I'm at work now but, will give this a listen at home tonight. Tim, I will see if Johnny wants to record something using my home studio in the future. We live about 10 miles from each other.
Thanks, Tim and Rick. Rick --- I will be at a rehearsal tonight for "The Award Show" with The Nashoba Players in Westford, MA. As part of the show, the director is going to have certain cast members sing some parodies that she commissioned me to write specifically for the show. At a rehearsal last week, I heard some of my fellow cast members sing some of my parodies for the first time --- what a bizarre (but immensely gratifying) experience that was!
I can imagine it was gratifying. I intend to be at that show on either Nov. 18 or 19. I am looking forward to it.
Thanks, Rick, I look forward to meeting you! And yes, I am open to the idea of recording one or more of my and/or your parodies in your studio --- let's think of some that could be done without overly complex vocals.
Good voice, performance and a great parody. Recording technique needs work though. :-) Good to put a voice with those words.
Good job performing, Johnny. This is a great parody, and I highly reccommend Rick Cormier if you want to record further parodies. We are working together on a project right now, and he is awesome.
Thank you, Rick C and Dee Range.
I'm jealous. I may someday have to come out there so you can't have all that recording fun without me.
