The Lyrics

Based on the novel Catcher in the Rye, by J. D. Salinger. I'd like to hear the story told through something like this.
As I was a-goin'
On down the hall
With a tired ass
From a nasty brawl
I rammed my fist
On the big man, cruel,
I says bye-bye
To the goddamn school

Chorus:
Catcher in the rye
(Whistle)
Catcher in the rye
(Whistle)
Beat 'im up and rack 'im up
And then say good-bye
And tell 'em all a tale called
Catcher in the rye

I went homewards
But too early though
I rented a room
With plenty o' dough
A hooker with me,
Not more than a pup
A-grumblin' that
She'd just woken up

Chorus:

Did you ever go walkin'
On a cold winter night
While all the fish
Slept in a pond, froze tight
With their fins at their scales
And their scales frozen stiff
Did you ever see a birdie
Get to hibernate like this?

Chorus:

Tank yew! Tank yew! I'm much obliged! Sure, you'll understand it if you've read Catcher in the Rye, but that's a basic summary of the events.
