The Lyrics

Anyone who has read "The Silmarillion" by J.R.R. Tolkien will instantly recognize who are the protagonists.
Eight little Noldor fleeing the Elven Heaven
One gets in fight with a balrog and then there were seven

Seven little Noldor looking for some kicks
Went to attack Doriath and then there were six

Six little Noldor still all alive
Went to rob a Silmaril and then there were five

Five little Noldor invading Dior's hall
One gets in duel with Dior and then there were four

Four little Noldor at Sirion on killing spree
One gets whacked by Sindar and then there were three

Three little Noldor the Elven kin slew
One gets slain himself and then there were two

Two little Noldor the Silmarils have won
One jumps into a fiery chasm and then there was one

One little Noldo now sings sad alone
He's lost somewhere in Middle-Earth and then there were none
