Parody Song Title:

"Wartburg Knight"

Parody Written by:

Arden Ockkerfuss

The Lyrics

That "other" East German car with a two-stroke engine. One million manufactured from 1966-1985.
Wartburg Knight,
Wartburg Knight,
How did it run?
With that tiny engine?
No radio due to interior noise
Like a motorcycle,
Bad brakes, 13" tyres boys
No safety features to save your life
The Wartburg Knight!
From A to B it could make it alright
But that was it...

East Germans had a saying, " One drives a car, but maintains a motorcycle."

Yeah, this was the Wartburg 353. About equal to the Trabbie, technically. But there was a third car. The EMW 327, which was a postwar remake of the BMW 327 from the '30s. It was made in Eisenach, E Germany; hence, the acronym change. It also was made nine years after the war in 1954. Production was maybe around 150 units. A rare collector's car. More elegant and comfy than the other two.
