The Lyrics

A Christmas shout out to some of my favorite brothers and sisters here. I'm sure I missed a few, so please feel free to raise all hell if I missed you. ;)

I'm proud to be amiright and to be among
All these awesome parodists and have my songs sung.
What a crew of geniuses! How I love them all!
Such a gang of funny folks, I just have a ball!

John A. Barry, A.F. Won, Alvin, English* Phil,
T.J.C.,Blackjack, Fred, Tim, and Barry Mitchell,
D.J., Scotti, Leo, Hack, Tommy Turtle too,
Maxie, Guy, and Pacholek...Mike, give me a "two"!

And those amiright foxes...wish I could meet them!
Christie, Fiddlegirl, Ann, Mel, Susan and Arwen!
But dear Santa there is one who is more than great,
Wish I could meet Andria and could have a date!

*= Phil, are you English or Australian? Anyway, (to Silent Night) Bless amiright, oh what a site!

Kind of like an Amiright Christmas card - nicely done.

I'm very flattered at you mentioning wanting to go on a date with me! :-) Usually it's Arwen that gets that kind of attention, but little old me, with the hopeless nicotine addiction? OK, I am good looking and a nice person. ;-) Anyhow, 5s to you.

There may be a few others missing that I will discover later, but don't forget Chucky who made the whole thing possible.

Thanks for the shout-out! And ... is there a *new* writing team here? OMR-AK? (Better than AKOMR, which kinda looks like "ACORN:" yuk!)

555, and Phil Alexander is veddy, veddy British, and bloody well and good, old chap!

Strewth, Bruce, can't think why you might have thought I'm an Aussie. :-)
Andria - December 10, 2009 - Report this comment
OMR, I believe it's Kristof Robinson who's Australian. Phil Alexander is definitely British, to the best of my knowledge, and I think TT is right on that matter too.
Jack Wilson - December 10, 2009 - Report this comment
Im not mentioned but this still gets 5s

Sir, what about our Brit to the North ^ Lord HiGUNs ? ?
TT - December 10, 2009 - Report this comment
Andria is correct on KR's birth, though now living in the UK. Too bad you (OMR) missed the outstanding Stuart McArthur, an over-the-top writer, native and resident Aussie, but alas, rarely here any more. He's told TT privately that he intends to "return with a vengence" one day. (Be afraid. Be *very* afraid!) :)

Looking again at Tommy Turtle's comment under the name "English General Pain In The BuTT", I would be glad to collaborate on parodies with Old Man Ribber. OMR, if you are interested in any way in teaming up on parodies with me, look at my author page, and my e-mail address is there. I check my inbox regularly, and I specialize in 1960s, 70s and 80s pop and oldies songs, Christmas songs and some country stuff as far as parody OSs go.

I would be most honored, Andria. Talk me through how to find you on the Author's Page. :)
Andria @ OMR - December 10, 2009 - Report this comment
The easiest way to get to my author page would be by copying and pasting this URL, http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/holidaysongs14.shtml, into your browser, clicking on my name, and my e-mail address can be found in my bio at the top of the page that has all my parodies on it.

OMR: See up at the top, where your name as author is listed under the parody title? Notice that it is in blue and underlined, indicating a link, or what the techno-geeks call a hyperlink. Click it, and be amazed!

So you could go to any of Andria's songs (or mine, heh heh) and do the same thing.

Or from the menu at the top of the page, you could point to "Music Parody", then from the drop-down menu, click "Authors". That will take you to the listing of all authors with ten or more song posts (a convenient page to bookmark, or "add to Favorites", if you're still an IE victim).

From the browser's top bar, click "Edit", then "Find". You can also just hit Ctrl + F for Windows with Firefox browser, and I think on IE also. Enter the name, and -- ta da!

Super-high-tech, ultra-lazy tip: Often, you don't need to type the whole name, just a combination of letters that might be unique. E. g., "ribb" was enough to bring up your name; "ckj" -- try it yourself.

Any other such high-tech questions, don't hesitate to ask. Hey, what are Professor Turtles for? :-)

Looking forward to the OMRAKs! ...and hopefully, no one will think that Andria invented you :-( heh heh)

Thanks for explaining accessing author pages better than I could. :-) Anyhow, if co-writing with OMR (we won't let a scandal along the lines of the did-TT-invent-Fiddlegirl fiasco happen to us) works out well, I might co-write with Christie Marie M and possibly Fred Snider, pending their approval of course. Co-writing parodies with you would be great, but alas, Fiddlegirl would want one or both of us hauled to the guillotine for such a thing.

To Professor Turtle: How do you do that thing where the link to the youtube song comes up in a new window so you can listen while you read the parody?
Phil - December 13, 2009 - Report this comment
TechieWannabee: If you want a link always to appear in a new window, include:
target=_blank
after the URL and before the close angle bracket.
