Ironically, the OS was about a Scottish naval war hero, perhaps an heir in spirit to the Scot who yelled "Freedom!" with his last breath.

... and generally, you get more credit for varying each refrain or chorus, even though OS repeats it. More chance to show your wit; 3x the laughs for us. Mel Gibson? I hope you don't think "Braveheart" was some kind of documentary ;-) Come to think of it, the "My Bonnie" the OS is written to features as a bit of a self-serving coward in that very film.
