The Lyrics

Interesting that one of the Terminators in the Sarah Connor Chronicles is John Henry, the same name as the steel driving man in the old folk song.
Well, John Henry was a terminator, Ellison would oversee,
He picked up some grammar and a little bit of zeal
And Cried, "Connor's gonna be the death of me, Lord, Lord,
Connor's gonna be the death of me".

Now, Ms. Weaver, she said to John Henry, "I'm gonna bring that team skill around,
I'm gonna spring that scream chill right through your jack,
I'm gonna shock that feelin' down, odd prod,
I'm gonna shock that feelin' down".

John Henry told Ms. Weaver, roared, "Machine ain't nothing but a man,
But before I let your scheme spill on the town,
I wanna find my old brother in this land, Lord, Lord,
I'll find my old brother in this land".

John Henry, thriving, in the lab sighed, hack scheme was striving for a theft,
Says, "Fore I let the water man beat me down,
I'm gonna ask for myself, a chip, Lord, Lord,
From Cameron, ask for her chip.

Well Ms. Weaver said to John Henry, "What is that riot I see?"
John Henry said, "That ain't no storm trooper,
That's just old Sarah breaking free, Lord, Lord,
From the jail, Sarah's breaking free.

John Henry looks for his Maker: "Maker, am I a thing?
'Cause old Dyson, well he found that my chips astound,
Yeah, mission for this cold, steel thing, Lord, Lord,
Mission for this cold, steel thing.

John Henry, he stammered, "Will you join us?" with Cameron changing wire,
And she pulled a knife, for his new start,
John Henry'd trade his head cord and ride, Lord, Lord,
John Henry used the time bubble to ride.

Well, now John Henry he had him a woman, by the name of Catherine,
She walked down to the lab, picked up John Henry's journey,
Set a time bubble again, Lord, Lord,
Set a time bubble once again.

Well, every, every Friday ev'ning, when a Fox show, it began to bring,
You could hear John Henry down in ZeiraCorp,
But now old John Henry's future gone, Lord, Lord,
To a year, John Henry's friends are king, I say,
You can fear what terminators bring, Lord, Lord,
You can fear what terminators bring.
