An ode to a seriously addictive pastime. I've just managed to spend almost a whole weekend on the internet, looking up late relatives. This is my tribute to the site that's helped me the most - and where I've found a dozen distant relatives who I'm connected to through one man from the 1660s.
Half a dozen ancient great aunts
Need someone to start it
Then we slot some other folks in

Do you know great-grandma Maria?
Alice, Lucy, Esther?
Can we find great-uncle's last name?
Don't like to doubt it
Lots and lots of mystery wives
And so many husbands
My mother just cannot make sense
There's too many people
Then we get some skeletons
Deep and darker secrets
Do we dare to work it all out?
Or let them keep it?
Getting back to Georgian times
No mean achievement
On and on I'm growing my tree
Too many branches
Everybody seems to be
Branched out from a Dring
Find so many strange and odd names
From Siggs there's nothing
Still I keep extending my tree
It's just so addictive
I try to go cold turkey?
Don't really think so!
