Taste of cachaça is icky
and feels insane
'though like rum it is made
from the sugar cane
and - each sip of the glass -
it makes me say "YECCCH!"

This stuff would serve
better as motor fuel
it's no good for
drinking as warm or cool
and - I bet that you too -
would really say "YECCCH"

Oh, why do I stare so sadly
Oh, my expression's so ghastly
I feel my money is wasted
I think that I'm gonna pass
yet 'nother cachaça glass...

I'd now rather have beer
that taste I could cheer
the taste of cachaça
- is worse than grappa -
there must be better drinks
available somewhere...
