I remember all those great times
At the circus, as a child
Wide eyed wonders and excitement
Are they doomed to be memory filed?

Elephants and horse drawn wagons
Would parade proud, down main street
Now they're missing from the landscape
Those old times were hard to beat..

Where is that old classic showtime,
Has it gone and passed us by?

Peanuts, popcorn, bears, and lions
Thrills and chills in three ring acts
Funny clowns and bareback riders
Maybe that's what this world lacks..

Something magic in the Circus,

I remember in my teen years
Workin' with the set up crew
Carried chairs and large equipment
For free tickets, some pay, too..
