The Lyrics

German Para Parody!!!
Jumping out of a slow-moving Ju-52
Isn’t easy to do

Got my RZ-20 parachute, gravity knife, separate 7.92mm FG-42
Low-level flyin’
REALLY low-level flyin’

A drop at 400 ft is demanding
Suspended in mid-air
Coming under fire
Gotta reach the ground

Jumping out of a slow-moving Ju-52
Isn’t easy to do
Isn’t easy to do

Carrying 13 troops
Carrying 13 troops
Carrying 13 troops
Drop zone near now
Suspended in the air
MP-40s and other weapons of little use
They’re in separate drop containers!!!

Sing the Fallschirmjaeger blues
Jumping out of a slow-moving Ju-52
Isn’t easy to do

I saw a Ju.52 at an air show many years ago. Sort of a flying Quonset hut. And you did mention the gravity knife. Haven't seen the cheap knock-off knives for a long time. A real one will bring $500 or more.

One of our local surplus stores had the cheap Chinese knock-off of the LL80 for about $15. The original German knives range from $40 to $75. Someone is making a copy of the wartime knife for around $100. It uses aluminum rivets in the grips instead of brass. As soon as the word gets back to Poland, that will change. Then if they can get someone to engrave a decent impression of the SMF or Weyersberg logo on the blade...
