"Norman Bates"
Norman Bates can’t help his killing;
when Mom (late) his mind is filling
in fugue state
madness will dominate.
Mom, life-shorn, as wacky killer
Norm’s reborn, a Jack-and-Jiller
who won’t mate
but will lacerate.
Now, Sandy Dennis as Austen[1],
and Kate Deneuve as Ledoux[2],
even Keith Carradine actin’ Foxy[3],
tho’ sex-warped weren’t cross-dressers, too.
But tho’ ci-
gars are just cigars, sometimes,
our Norman just in drag his crimes
must perpetrate
with his “cigar” serrate.
Tho’ an utter lady-killer
Norm’s a gutter. “Heart-be-stiller”
girls don’t rate
him … no “10+” da-a-a-a-ate.
Better guys they’ll await.
(Less freight.)

© Stan Hall … A companion piece of sorts to my other parody today of this OS. “Psycho” was the 12:30-2:30am entry of a TCM Hitchcock all-nighter that made it downight pleasurable to stay up ludicrously late fiddling with tax prep. :-)
1. “Frances Austen” in Altman’s ’69 creeper, “That Cold Day in the Park”
2. “Carole Ledoux” in Polanksi’s ’65 surreal “Repulsion”
3. “Foxy Funderburke” in the ’83 TV miniseries “Chiefs”
(Every one is a gem no "Psycho" fan should miss.)

To give this parody a five would be the norm.
Sounds like a Tony tale to me.
