Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Puff, the mighty Balrog lived in the mines.
And woe to all those who face him for he's really, really mean.
It was Pippin who disturbed Puff. Which made Gandalf curse,
and the rest of the fellowship all braced for the attack. Oh-

Puff the mighty Balrog came crashing through.
Gandalf made his stand and said "you cannot pass!"
Puff ignored the wizard and fell into the abyss.
But as the Balrog fell he also sealed Gandalf's fate as well.

The fellowship was now broken, and all hope seemed to fade.
Aragorn was now in charge and knew they had to flee.
So onward toward Lothlorien, and meet with Lady Galadriel.
There they will gather and see what must be done - Oh

Puff the mighty Balrog could not defeat the wizard.
It was truly an epic battle, but Gandalf could not fail.
The wizard smote him down upon the ground of Moria.
And so the Grey Wizard turns into the White.

A wizard lives forever, but not so for little Hobbits.
Frodo could not think of his quest. Lady Galadriel gave him console
"The one ring you must bear. For if you do not do this,
then everything will be lost."

Frodo's head was bent in sorrow, tears fell like rain.
Gandalf would no longer be standing at his side.
Without his life long friend, Frodo could not be brave,
but Frodo, that little hobbit, had to sadly continue on. Oh-

Gandalf the Grey has now gone away
And all friends who knew him feel the loss.
But his story does not end here my friends.
For he will be reborn, and thus return as Gandalf the White.

GANDALF THE GREY HAS NOW GONE AWAY
AND ALL FRIENDS WHO KNEW HIM FEEL THE LOSS.
BUT HIS STORY DOES NOT END HERE MY FRIENDS.
FOR HE WILL BE REBORN, AND THUS RETURN AS GANDALF THE WHITE.

Roses are red, violets are blue, this doesn't rhyme.

I'm sorry you did not like it, but I thank you for your comments just the same.

Same problems that I commented on earlier. Part of what makes parodies fun is that expectation that the lines will rhyme just like the original song did. (not with the EXACT SAME RHYMES necessarily). You DO know your Tolkien though. Check out parodies by Meriadoc and/or Pippin for some other good LotR parodies. :)

Agrimorfee, yes, I suppose I could make this song rhyme. If given enough time. Unlike "Books Glorious Books" this might be a salvage. Instead of being tossed into the garbage.

I wouldn't trash the Books parody. The content was very good.

Hi Jeff! I think both songs will probably remain as they are until I havethe time to get back to them.
