The Lyrics

I loathe the Ku Klux Klan. They give people grief and shame this country. In this parody, people of all races and faiths break down the KKK's door to ban them once and for all. Hey, I can dream, can't I?
Stuck in 1860, head inside the cold ground,
People are mad at us
It's true, wizard, true

If we ever get out of here,
Never thought of mending our ways
To a more pleasant life.
All we need is a back way.
If we ever get out of here.

Well the doors collapsed with a mighty crash as the mob did over-run,
And the first group said to the second one there, "The Ku Klux Klan is done!"
Klan on the run, Klan on the run
And the races and the faiths diverse will chase each and every one.

Ku Klux Klan on the run, their racist ways are done, Klan on the run, the bigots are undone

Well the jerks were running for their selfish pride as they moved away like slime
Everywhere they're serching for them high and low, and it's only a matter of time
Klan on the run, Klan on the run
And people all around the land want their hateful ways undone.

Ku Klux Klan on the run, their racist ways are done, Klan on the run, the bigots are undone

Well authorities across the land heard the call for tolerance then.
They caught those goons and took them court, and through the book at them.
Klan on the run, Klan on the run

And the Highest Court, who saw their sort
Will ban them evermore
Ku Klux Klan on the run, their racist ways are done, Klan on the run, the bigots are undone

good comment, Tim!

great idea, scathe, well-executed (pun unintended) - one of Paul's few great non-Beatles songs imo - 555

Some missing lines and rough pacing. A 20 for sentiment, but overall I could only give it a 4.

(ABC 05)Eh, this could have been a lot better. Sorry.

(ABC) Not bad, quite heartfelt.

Living in Texas, I appreciate the sentiment...but this is Klan territory, and they are still alive and kicking, unfortunately. Good job here.

(K) is that right Dee? (shudder) - already commented but a fine job here, Scathe

I agree with Michael except you get a 5 overall. Stu, there was a white supremacy gathering in Yorktown a month or so ago. 100 supporters, 500 protesters.

I agree this could have been more... I can't really put my finger on it. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind. Funny premise though!
