Are books really worth waiting for?
If you've never read pages before.
Well that's simply plain cruel!
I just say my incantation-
More books for contemplation.
Still not enough, it's just cruel!
There is not a page, nor a phrase I can't find.
I love words; they are my inspiration,
But there's nothing to stop me from getting a thrill
When I just close my eyes and imagine

Love transfiguration!
When I'm in the mood-
Edgar Rice Burroughs!
Oh Please! I must have more!
Our Librarian knows my name
So how can I get more?
A bookstore!

I'm anxious to read them!
Three bookshelves a day-
My favorite diet!

Just picture that stack of books-
Twain, Rowling, and Tolkien.
Oh, books,
Wonderful books,
Marvelous books,
Glorious books

Books, glorious books!
What is more enchanting?
New, old or cursed-
Still worth a king's ransom.
Ask what I dream about?
What brings on a sigh?
Piled books all around, about
Six feet high!

Books, glorious books!
I've nothing to read now.
I hunger for more
And I'm on the prowl now
Worked up quite an appetite.
And in the meantime-
It's books,
Once again, books
Fabulous books,
Glorious books.

Don't care what they look like-
Thick!
Leather-bound!
Binded!
Don't mind who the author is.
Just reading a book that's fat-
My senses go reeling
Literally knowing that
Full-up feeling!

Books, glorious books!
What wouldn't I give for
That extra bit more-
That's all that I live for
Why should I be fated to
Do nothing but brood
On books,
Magical books,
Wonderful books,
Marvelous books,
Fabulous books
