The Lyrics

No way can I see
From my seat in aisle Z
All the players are small
Looks like miniature baseball
No detail this far back
It's a flea circus act
Not just eyesight challenged,
No announcer I'm hearing..
Was that hit a homerun?
Pitcher's pitch, can't see none
Can't make out the score,
Think it's eighty to one..
A seat closer in
Is a seat my mind craves..
Stuffed up here in the dome,
At the home of the Braves

Oh, the next time I come
To this huge stadium
Gonna' bring a spyglass,
And a bullhorn for cheering
Eighty six bucks was paid
When, at home, should've stayed
Cheaper popcorn and beer,
On TV, it's appearing..
Had to duck down my head,
Or I would have been dead
When an airplane flew by
With his landing gear spread..
As a far angled scanner,
I'm ranting my raves..
Stuffed up here in the dome,
At the home of the Braves

(Play ball..)

Never been to Turner Field, but I saw several games at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. The best one was Crosley Field in Cincinnati where every seat was close in - if I remember correctly, the home run fence was about 30 feet from home plate. :-) Enjoyed this!

Farsighted parody! Rex - I saw many games at Crosley and agree. Straight away center field was 389 feet, but there was a terrace around the whole outfield. It WAS 366 feet down the right field line...lol! ;D

Great take on a miniscule parody! Since my eyes are so bad and the fact that I have bad astigmatism, I can relate to that situation. Yeah, the ball game looks like Tinytown from below. What a hilarious parody! Very enjoyable. Take some micro 555's!

LOL! Been there, done that, got the nosebleed... ;) About the best that can be said is that if you're on the top row, no one spills beer on you...Loved the lines about the flea circus and the jet plane.

Oh, I was gonna ask if you were at Spring Training at Disney yesterday, cause I was! I saw the Braves beat the Astros 9-4. So this is the perfect parody for me to read today. 555 home runs

Excellent job here, AFW... I've never been to any professional sporting event in person except a couple of golf tournaments, but like you, I've always been there in my imagination, and I can relate about overpriced concessions. Last golf tournament I went to, a single 12-ounce can of Miller, Coors or Budweiser was $2.99, and you can get a six-pack for almost the same price at the gas station near my place. :-) 5s.

Thanks, Fg....good point about beer spilling...and thanks, Phil..no, just getting cabin fever here in Ohio...and thanks, Andria...beer at 2.99 a six had to be quite some time ago...

That plane you saw was Air Force One (the real one) flying in low for a photo op.,...

A wonderful take--should be the new 'national pastime's' anthem!
