| Original Song Title: | "Sleigh Ride" |
| Original Performer: | Leroy Anderson |
| Parody Song Title: | "Slay Ride" |
| Parody Written by: | Alvin Rhodes |
...as sung by the charles manson glee club...
just hear us psychos gigglin'
victims wrigglin' too
come on, we've been untethered
for a slay ride together was due
inside, some folks are lollin'
we'll soon be callin', yoo-hoo
come on, we've been untethered
for a slay ride together was due
get 'em up, get 'em up, get 'em up, just so
get ready for woe
we're tyin' up your legs so you can't go
get 'em up, get 'em up, get 'em up, both hands
and follow our plans
we've no sense of wrong
beatles songs have us killin' our fellow man
the blood will run so rosy
they won't try to mosey and flee
we'll string 'em up together
with some straps made of leather, you see
a helter-skelter chorus
you can't ignore us, its true
come on, we've been untethered
for a slay ride together was due
its a private party at the home of sharon tate
its her life, we will be endin', cause we're filled...with hate
we'll be slayin' this throng
that were among...the A-list column's top
by the fireplace, it is right to work, we'll hop
chop chop chop
there'll be sappy squealin...nothin' matters in...our eyes
not a tear will we be blottin' as we kill...those guys
we love murderin' people, innocent and leavin' none alive
what joy that it brings
its our thing...we dismember and terrorize
just hear us psychos gigglin'
victims wrigglin' too
come on, we've been untethered
for a slay ride together was due

Love it, but Spaff did a Selig Ride parody with the same name, idffernet concept though
Sleigh*
Another comment mentions that Spaff done one to this title...I had one, last year, also with same title, but with "drug & gang, drive by shooting theme"....Great job, here...I like this written to the Manson tale.
Looks like you're havin a Manson Hippy Christmas! 555
Jack, same titles should not be a problem. Lots of popular songs have the same title, as long the words (and in the case of an actual song, the music) are not the same it's still "an original work". As writer's we have the right to use titles as we wish, pretty much. If I think a title fits my piece I don't care who else may have used it before. Now if you're using the same concept, THEN you've got an issue. alvin, looks like you are in a "clannish" mode...yesterday the Clampett clan...today the Manson Family...from someone who remembers the panic incited by the Tate-LaBianca murders this brings a lot of that right back to me...so you'll be hearing from my Lawyer about the trauma you've inflicted on me...good thing for you he's not gonna be tied up with a silly little copyright infringement case, huh lol...5's ~ ~ ~
I can just picture the video of this: Squeaky Fromme doing falsetto, etc. Glee club, indeed!

Yeah you;re right Paul but it's SPAFF,ya know?
To quote National Lampoon's tagline, "That's not funny, that's sick!" (Consider any National Lampoon quote a big compliment.)
And apologies for my being brought up in the comments. I pay Jack Wilson to say nice things about me (and *to* me), and lately he's been putting in a lot of overtime.
