The Lyrics

My friend and I are obsessed with pirates and WILL own a pirate ship when we save enough money. Anyway, this is our newly composed theme song.
Pansies weren't bred to die for love
They will never fight a duel
So I enjoy the men who live
And steal expensive jewels
A sword on your throat may be quite continental
That's why pirates are a girls best friend

A ship'll be grand, will impress the parentals
And you can wear a patch or a three cornered hat
Maps unfold as pirates bold
And we'll find treasure in the end
So swabbie or captain
We're all for the sea man
Because pirates are a girls best friend

The Yetithe Black Pearl
Curse at me Black Beard, tell me about the ship!
There may come a time when a wench wants a marriage
But pirates are a girls best friend

It just might turn out that a desk office worker
Gets on one knee
But say don't marry me because you see
On land he's fine but at sea he'll whine
If the ship pitches end over end
And rum he despises though all real men prize it
Pirates are a girls best friend!!

I've seen those actors but that's strictly profession
Real pirates are a girls best friend

They'll steal and they'll wear an evil expression
They'll do a sailors jig and swipe old ladies wigs
The sea rolls on and land is gone
And scurvy begins to set in
But illness or hangnoose
It won't make me vamoose

I don't mean yellowbellies
But Pirates are a girls best friend!

I think I know the song but I never heard of Leo Robin so just in case it happens to differ from the one I'm assuming it is I'm postponing my vote for now. However, I think you'll be glad to find that you have a kindred spirit on this site; his name is Paul Robinson and you'll find some ten pirate parodies on his author list, which I will spare him the embarrassment of having to plug for himself: :-)

5 dubloons fer ya and yer scurvy swabbies too! But I don't think ye be real piratey types if yer saving money to buy a pirate ship... tis not the pirate way.

Somebody's been watching that Gwen and Eve "Rich Girl" parody a little too often. And not even for the right reason.

I thought this was a song about me being obsessed with Luffy and One Piece.
