The MRI of my ALC ends all my plans for you.
I limped out this morning and I wrote this song for you.
Oh my dear ACL it looks like we are through.

I felt fire and I felt pain.
I felt throbbing pain that I thought would never end.
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend.
But my OS says I'll get my use of you again.

Woke up from surgery and didn't know where I was at.
The nurse asks me if she could lend a hand.
Said everything went great and better days are ahead.
My knee is aching and I don't understand.

Now all these months past and my knee is functioning.
Sure was a long road to get to this place.
But now I can walk and run, and the leg is strengthening.
Couldn't have made it apart from God's grace.

I don't feel throbbing that thought would never end.
I've found a place where you can have many friends.
