The Lyrics

Over the past three months, I have published numerous parodies about the Spring 1951 “Beat the Clock” show featuring 300 Boy Scouts, which I frequently (and correctly) describe as “the greatest moment in television/human history”. Now I have created a page on the Internet Archive that features pictures of this broadcast (linked at the bottom). Because of this, more people than ever know about this broadcast since it originally aired in 1951. Perhaps this broadcast is something that can be discussed in a family talk...
I always knew,
We’d have this talk very soon!

One night, on “Beat the Clock”,
A dream foretold; cheers from Boy Scouts that’d unfold,
That lives forever and never grows old,

I always felt,
That no kinescope is held!

This is a lost show talk,
Everyone rise,
See pictures with your own eyes,
And see rare history,

The words we share are fulfilling,
Its thrilling appeal,
An “Am I Right” page began this,
This show had all been real!

This show was grand,
An elephant felt with hands,
With Boy Scouts on “Beat the Clock”,
Because I knew,
This show won’t again be viewed,
This is a lost show talk!
