Phenomenal, brilliant, unbelievable! Not only are the songs first-rate (5s all), but the story tying them all together is a masterpiece. Congrats to all involved; I'm proud to have played a small role in this superb project.

The first hurdle I almost fell at was when I had all 20 submissions in front of me, and had to work out an order to put them in. The next crisis was coming up with a storyline that would link them all, which was like trying to stuff 20 reluctant snakes up a drainpipe
but having done those two things, I then got to write the dialogue and that was a huge blast - fun the whole way

Part 1 is excellent Scathe and Stu. Got the MIDI to play (they work better when not muted, DOH!) and read the lyrics. Good storyline already and will get to the other 19 tomorrow night. 555.
I hadn't previously heard the back story.... Am presuming a major backlash against lewd lyricists, to be forever and anon clamped down upon? ... But to my main thrust now , these 20 perfect parodies are fantastic and true to their originals... a herculean task and much appreciated... truly a clever pod of people populating this site... well, to be truthful, its actually a bell curve whereupon you who 'penstanzas' are way way out on the leading edge... three cheers and three cheers more! Encore! Bravo!
thankyou TJC - to be honest I was hoping for 4 parody submissions that I could then easily link into a mini-operetta (half an hour tops) - but as you point out, the sharp right-hand edge of the bell-shaped curve swung into action and delivered, as you say again, 20 perfect parodies, so it became a matter of honour to link them into some coherent form
- but believe me, there is no backlash against lewd lyricists - it was just a plot device invented by the lewdest lyricist of them all, Johnny D, as you'll pick up in the detail of the story - thanks for the read, mate :-)

THREE CHEERS FOR STUART MCARTHUR!!! I have read all of this amazing accomplishment start to finish this evening and I am floored! In addition to the excellent parody work by the several authors, your dialogue was funny, silly, G&S faithful and just freakin' brilliant! It took some doing to read it; I can't begin to imagine the work it must have taken to write it. I am proud to have added my own submissions to this work and I appreciate the chance to be in on it. I picked a great time to stop back in! Congratulations to Stu, Johnny and all the authors! Well done!
