Song Parodies -> "From This Moment, Yawn"

Original Song Title:

"From This Moment On"

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"From This Moment, Yawn"

Parody Written by:

Airfarcewon

The Lyrics

From this moment, yawn
On-ly me here
Not no Tommy T. here
From this moment, yawn

Same old tired style,
"Scrape Your Shoe" songs
Got no Spaff-er-oo songs
From this moment, yawn

There's nothing you'd want to read so much,
Rhymes that spin within, and such
No great lines that fit just right,
More the boring, and stiff, and trite

From this moment, yawn
You and they, babe
No hotshot word play, babe
No great ideas spawn..
From this...mo...ment...yawn

(Aaaaaaarrrrrruuuuuhhhh..)

From this moment, yawn
It's class "Z" here
Claude Prez couldn't be here
From this moment, yawn

Not your lucky day
No Weird Al stuff,
More like, "Sorry, Pal" stuff
From this moment, yawn

There's nothing to give your mind a spark
More like smells from Noah's Ark
Cannot seem to get it right,
Just the nibble, but never the bite

From this moment, yawn
Dozed, you are, babe
If you read this far, babe
Wood is what you're saw'n
From..this..mo..ment, yawn

(Aaaaaaarrrrrruuuuuhhhh..)

Plenty of great lines that fit just right
LOL @ Weird Al/sorry, pal lines

I'm doing an OS that you know very well, and there's a line that I don't understand (probably a UK/US slang thing). It's about a truck driver who, whilst driving, "Just passed a jimmy in/an’ a white". Have you (or anyone else who may see this) got any idea what he just passed? I briefly Google'd it but can't find any other refs apart from the song.

Thanks, Andy...yes, the lyric line you mention sounds like it's one from a "Sixties" truck drivin' song called, "Six Days On The Road" by Dave Dudley...Great song...parodied it myself, a couple years back..The line is referring to brand names of trucks, a Jimmy is slang for a GMC..General Motors Corporation, and a White is also a famous brand name of a truck...and thanks, OMR...

When I see some of the works of genius posted here I start to wonder if I can ever keep up. Still have a few ideas floating around, so, back to the drawing, bored.
