The Lyrics

The attempted bombing of Northwest Flight 253 on Christmas Day by Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should be no surprise. Our Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano believes that the greatest (if not ONLY) threat to our citizens comes from right wing extremists and unhinged veterans. The President, his administration, and pet media even refuse to use the words "jihadist" and "war on terror" lest we damage our precious diversity. So, watch for President Obama to revert to the philosophy which has made him the darling of the world and Nobel laureate...blame it all on the U.S.A! ;D

They tried to bomb our plane,
Kill folks on Christmas Day.
And so who is to blame?
You know I always blame the U.S.A.
'Though he's a jihadist,
Can't let my press dupes say!
Al-Qaeda can't be dissed.
So I will always blame the U.S.A.

For the terrorists are all our friends.
Here is why I kiss their tush:
My backers claim Nine-Eleven was planned by Bush!

It's right wing vets and kooks
That we should fear today.
I won't stop Iran nukes
But I will always blame the U.S.A.
Yes, I'll always blame the U.S.A.

(Instrumental break to bridge)

For no matter what's the evidence
Of all this atrocity,
We must never lose our great diversity!

So let them strike a blow.
We won't get in their way.
They owe us for Gitmo.
And I will always blame the U.S.A.

For the Peace Prize came my way
As I wish jihad away.
And I'll always blame the U.S.A.

"You can't be satirical and not be offensive to somebody"...Tom Lehrer. ;D

Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Flight 253 attempted bombing, saying it was in retaliation for the killing earlier this month of 68 Yemeni terrorists. Will the administration apologize for the deaths of those terrorists? Probably not, but very good spoof, OMR.

Fundamentalist Islam vs Fundamentalist anti-Americanism. Homeland Security is faced with the burden of knowing that should they fail, their budget will be doubled and they will be given even more power to harass the traveling public. I'm not familiar with the original song, but I like your lyrics.

Congratulations on 100 parodies, OMR!!! :-) Great job, Al-Qaeda needs to get cut down to size and dismantled by the US military and/or that of an ally such as South Korea, the UK or Australia (all of which have fought with the US in Iraq). 5s.

So perhaps we need terrorists to keep us on our toes? TJC, the League of nations should have taken action against Hitler the day he invaded the Rhineland, but there were so many people - including the Pope - who feared the Communists more. They thought Hitler would be a bastion against them.

Congrats on 100, OMR! Is there no end to terrorism?! Now the airlines make another bunch of stupid rules like no perfume, shampoo, cosmetics, etc. I forgot also what we can't bring to the plane. I hope the USA will get better this coming year 2010. Here's 555.

After 27 high-fives, I had to find a flaw (like an Oriental rug). Aha! Accents on "jihad-IST" and "Git-MO". Not enough to downrate F or O, though; like Janet Napolitano's team, your verse worked perfectly AFTER the incident! Welcome to the Century Club, keep writing. @ NoFlyAnita: Sounds like the start of a good Bossa Nova parody, but the FD was a hero.
