Sour grapes? No, more like a fine wine aging to perfection. Twenty-five years ago, I got chewed out on a gig for singing "I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore." The seniors in the audience thought I was mocking them. Now I'm old enough to write parodies like this...my first significant age milestone since I became "legal" at twenty-one. ;D
'Though I've quick repartee - one thing I'll never be
That is young and hip
For my mustache is gray, and I've seen better days
I'm not young and hip
Don't know all the new songs - never used any bongs
I eat lots of Ding Dongs, and I never wear thongs
And 'though my funny parodies can pass the test

OK, at fifty-five, I may be considered "young" by some...but never "hip." ;D

There are some things you're never too old for. At my age (though I'm not that old), I still play video games, watch cartoons, and watch childrens' movies. Excellent parody, OMR! 5's!
