Poor smelly cat,
By the back door waiting.
Poor smelly cat,
What did he have to eat?
He always roams outdoors -
His odors waft in the air,
And always cling to his hair.
It's not his fault -
Nobody will,
Take him to be neutered.
That will make him sweet,
As a rose.
The smells when he's in heat,
Afflict everyone's nose.
No favored pet -
Poor smelly cat.

Poor smelly cat,
In the palm tree climbing.
He smells a rat -
Will that be his meal?
The hillocks of Hollywood -
Such a swell neighborhood -
Is home to skunks and their brood -
That could be why.
He climbs the trees,
And prowls on the rooftops.
Does he dodge the skunks -
And their spray?
But he will lose the funk,
If I take him away.
He'll be my pet,
Poor smelly cat.
