Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

My dedication to the old tv series "ALF" parodied from a children's book poem. A new live/CG movie is in development for 2013 through Sony Pictures and produced by the people who made the "Smurfs" movie. Paul Fusco will voice the character again AFAIK...
Is so far from the norm
Is an Alien Life Form

Is from Melmac planet
Wants to eat Lucky cat

Crashed into a garage
Values things like garbage

Has a large appetite
Must be kept out of sight

Does hate nuclear war
Has a rust-colored fur

Is often cynical
Is the Tanners best pal

Thanks, I'll see what I can do. I am trying to do "Small Wonder" next and later "Diff'rent Strokes" as well as more "Facts of Life" parodies :)

Robert, is there some way you could post a link to the original poem somewhere?

I took the poem from one of my niece's children's activity books while visiting my brother. I wrote it down and then came home and copied it over to WPS, then used syllabic encoding, and re-wrote it with the ALF theme line-by-line in minutes. I doubt there is an Internet link for such children's materials, same for various anthologies I am in as well as a million other poets. I am in 20 anthologies myself! Maybe a search for Erin Burrell may yield something...???

A note to JAB and others waiting for me to finish my "Oblivion" series based on Edymion Part IV by Keats- sorry, but I have been delayed frequently by severe sickness and ER visits/hospitalizations this year. But I will continue when I have some free time :)

I thought ALF was quite amusing. He grew in my estimation in the episode where said "Musicals are dumb, Everything's going along normally, and then all of a sudden for no reason, everyone breaks into song". AMEN, alien.
