The US president claims to be "fired up", fund-raising and campaigning at a frantic pace (although spokesman Jay Carney says "he spends only 5% of his time meeting the American people"). Perhaps he is "flaming out", a situation feared by fighter-jet pilots. TOS entreated a brilliant bird to carry a message to an absent and perhaps lost lover at a distant place. Accent "ming".
