| Original Performer: | Disney Movie / Barbra Streisand |
| Parody Song Title: | "Who's Afraid of the Big Blair Witch?" |
| Parody Written by: | Mick Terry |
Originally a parody, new copyrighted melody & verses have been written.
CHORUS:
Who's afraid of the big Blair Witch,
the big Blair Witch, the big Blair Witch?
Who's afraid of the big Blair Witch?
Who's not afraid to die?
1: We saw the movie eight times within a single week.
It soon was an obsession; its spell was so unique.
We looked up every story. We searched throughout the Net.
If myth or fact or hype or not, we hadn't found it yet.
2: We saw the movie eight times. Each time revealed more clues.
We even read the backlash, but we were not amused.
Like "The Blair Sandwich Project": cheap humor, second-rate.
We had to check it for ourselves, so close in the next state.
CHORUS:
3: We've read of Elly Kedward, of Rustin Parr, her slave,
how Eileen Treacle vanished, how Robin Weaver's saved.
We'll enter Black Hills Forest and head for Tappy Creek.
We'll find the trail to Coffin Rock and evidence we seek.
CHORUS:
BRIDGE:
We hear the folks of Burkittsville have already had enough
and tell inquiring visitors that it's all a lot of stuff.
But we'll just slip in quietly to discover on our own
the oily sticks, the body parts, the markings and the stones.
4: We packed our gear on Thursday, determined to survive.
We'd prove this all to be a hoax if we come out alive.
God save our souls and help us if this is not in jest.
If you don't hear back from us soon, don't follow in our steps.
If you don't hear back from us soon, don't follow in our steps.
If you don't hear back from ...

Saw the movie. Really sucky. But your piece caught a lot of the details about it. Liked the cut-off ending.
Pretty good. Verse 3 would only appeal to those who got swept up into the hype & mythology created around the movie. Chorus paces well with the Big Bad Wolf song, but what does the verse go along to?
gay, gay, gay.
