Song Parodies -> "Sesquipedelian"

Original Song Title:

"With A Smile And A Song"

Original Performer:

Disney

Parody Song Title:

"Sesquipedelian"

Parody Written by:

Will Agrudis Glover

The Lyrics

Sesquipedelian means 'a long word', and 'hippopotosesquipedelian' means 'a very long word'. I thought it pretty comical so I thought, 'Why not write a parody?'
Sesquipedelian
Is an example of itself
In and of itself
As the word is long

This word means 'a long word'
It is an onomatopoeia
of itself. Weird . . .
And the word is strong

There's nothing so funny
As this word, smart money
Remember, it's the one
That will fill your brain with mix-ups

When you try to spell it
You give up, and say "Okay! That's it!"
And you go along
Though the word is so long

DKTOS... but I've always loved the self-referential quality of the word "sesquipedalian". Great parody :-)

that was a stupid stupid thing I just read.

the paraody, while a brave effort, didn't do justice to the inherent sesquipedelianese of the word itself- I wouldn't try any more, bub.. 'deezer' is the pen-name of Alderrama Neazme, translator of works in the Furdish language, and as such he holds the Emeritus Professorship in that subject at the University of Los Sesuipedialias y grandes Cervesas at Furdlonde, S.M.4be
