The Lyrics

This was originally a joke from my stand-up routine. I am amused because of the truth in the song. ;D

Within most any band
There is an order planned.
It's true - what goes to who
Is by chain of command.

The singer gets the cash
And he makes quite a stash.
Great luck - he gets the bucks.
The singer gets the cash.

The guitar gets the cheers.
It's been that way for years.
Oh child - the crowd goes wild.
The guitar gets the cheers.

The drummer gets the girls.
They love his drumstick twirls.
Keeps beat - gets lots of "seat"
The drummer gets the girls.

The keyboard gets his kicks
From all his nimble tricks.
He's blessed - he knows he's best.
The keyboard gets his kicks.

The bass player gets the drugs.
He likes it more than hugs.
Can't moan - he's way too stoned,
The bass player gets the drugs.

The sax and trumpet joke
They're there to eat and smoke.
Don't play much anyway,
The sax and trumpet joke.

The trombone gets the booze
And that it what he'd choose.
Can't think without a drink,
The trombone gets the booze.

And now you know the way
That each one gets his pay.
Each one gets different fun
When it is time to play!

Finally! No politics! ;D

Wow, sounds like a rehearsal session for either The Doors, or some kind of Jazz band, considering sax, trumpet, and trombone players. The reason I thought about Doors because drugs were added to that song. I don't know. But great work and performance, Ribber! 5's!

No politics and still someone gave you 1s (I don't think it was for your "and that is what he'd choose" typo). Very clever.
