The Lyrics

The "whites september" is reference to Earth Wind and Fires song written by Maurice White. This is just a parody about what it's like when your initial idea for a parody is written and then you still have two verses and a chorus to go making it into a bit of a chore!
There you go and Chucky here am I
Well you left me here so I could try and try
Well Chucky gee wants a new par-o-dy
Well I guess i'm just another lyric whore

Do i dismember maybe whites September
keepin each line tight and the rhyme just right
Hell Whoops I'm crazy i'm no suave scor-sese
But I guess i'm just another lyric bore

They're seducing me with-stylin'
I pun everything and mean time quick i'm drying
I've cloned from miss-you-nights,and wasted all cliches that i knew

Well you have your way and I have mine
Not very clever still i find a rhyme
Ma-ligned so shoddy too and maybe
We'll say it's pooh and you won't flatter as-before

What's the use in me a-tryin'
I shun everything and now I'm quick at sighing
I've blown away re-writes, and wasted all my ways over-due

well it goes a-stray and I'll go pine
Now and forever 'till i take up mime
I'll find a hobby new and chucky
We'll say we're through and you won't set a lyric chore
you won't set a lyric chore

Well done, Tomario. You've most delightfully depicted a phenomenon I doubt is unknown to many amirighters. My own frequent experience when I've written myself into a corner (and not infrequently when I haven't) is getting a new idea, maybe entirely different, maybe only slightly so, maybe born of something in the partially written parody, maybe out of the blue, from which the whole parody, rebegun, then flows in a torrent. :-)

(SOTM) Very good.

One day we'll have to round up all the parodies about writer's block and then we'll take them and... ehh... I can't come up with something to do dot down on what to do with'em, sorry... :-P

SOTM) Very funny, especially for the OTM pacing and rhyming, one of the best I've read from you, Tomario. 555

Interesting way of looking at the writing process, Tomario. Funny title, and like Aggy said, excellent rhyming and meter. Thank you for explaining the EWaF reference: I would have been lost on that otherwise.

Great to see you back Tomario, a bit too Amiright specific for a great winning SOTM title, but this was a good parody either way.

Lovely, Tomario - I think this may well be my favourite of yours, in that I can't think of any I like more :-D

(SOTM) What I said on Jason's entry: what Matthias said ;P

A good write about a topic to which we all can relate.
I likes the EWF idea and I wonder if that could be used more. (naming different bands and describing different ways to dismantle them)

SOTM- Nice to see an oldie done once in a while. Good work, Tomario.

SOTM - Not at all familiar with the OS, but quite familiar with the topic. I've got about a dozen or so half-worked parodies waiting for inspiration.

Welcome back Tomario, we've missed you, and in honesty I was worried about you after the way you disappeared during Matthias' "Ages" contest, especially as your work was continually getting better and better. . .

Hi Again, Tomario ... just exchanges message with you on Facebook and now see I _have_ read some of your stuff before. The quandary you remark here and the possible solutions I addressed (sort of) in my own take on "El Paso."
