| Original Song Title: | "Oh Boy" |
| Original Performer: | Buddy Holly |
| Parody Song Title: | "Ahoy! (Cruel Pirates We Be)" |
| Parody Written by: | Paul Robinson |
Aye, yet another "Pirate" parody for ye consumption...and tizn't even the one what I had 'rig'nally planned to cast at ye...but ye other...well, I had already used that OS for a "non-Pirate" number earlier this week, so I thought it best to give it a rest for a spell...perhaps next week for that one...
Aye, we raped
and, aye, we pillaged
Tonight be when we ransack ye village
Ahoy! Pirates we be
Ahoy! Soon ye will bleed
I'll run me sword through thee
Then ye life
it will be taken
Walkin' down ye plank; knees be shakin'
Ahoy! Real mean we be
Ahoy! Ye'll drown at sea
Be buried in the deep
As he feared
ye Captain; keel-hauled him
Sharks be circlin' in; set to maul him
Aye, threw him off the ship
Aye, sharks began to bite
Hearty we laughed at his pitiful plight
Then his crew
sent them a-swimmin'
Pled and carried on just like women
Ahoy! There in the drink
Ahoy! Soon ye will sink
With Davey Jones ye'll be
~ ~ ~ (Screaming & thrashing sounds) ~ ~ ~
Then at dawn
set out to plunder
Who we'll ravage next, aye, we wonder
Ahoy! A merchant ship
Ahoy! Not well equipped
To deal with such as we
Bared me knife
at Captain “Landlubber”
On his knees the coward did blubber
Annoyed - by his weak pleas
With joy - Aye, did the deed
Then laughed, aye, heartlessly
Sharks smelled fear
headed over to maul him
Crystal clear what soon would befall him
Sharks, aye, they be hungry
He whet their appetite
Keep this up and the sharks will need to diet
Tough and cruel
Pirates we be man
Soon be sailin' the Carribean
Ahoy! String me some pearls
Enjoy - ahh, native girls
This be the life for me
and, aye, we pillaged
Tonight be when we ransack ye village
Ahoy! Pirates we be
Ahoy! Soon ye will bleed
I'll run me sword through thee
Then ye life
it will be taken
Walkin' down ye plank; knees be shakin'
Ahoy! Real mean we be

You seem to have endless booty on this topic, Paul...for the scurvy dog ye are! 555
Thanks, Kristof...it's been fun thinking about what songs to use and tales to tell in this "Pirate" parody writing mode...gonna keep after it for a bit, I think...
you write these so well, i'm sure you were a pirate in a former life...5s
That thought...it be occurring to me often of late...thank ye greatly, matey...
Yarrrgh... I don't know this one, matey. But plunder by thunder be the life, says I. And any song around can rhyme 'man' with 'Carribe-AN' be fine by me, Paul Robbing be fun.
ARRRR ye gonna write every pirody in th' book, matey? That be fine with me, if they're all this good. Also liked that Caribbean rhyme, I did. I'm not going to talk like a pirate anymore; I find it disturbing. Very good.
Ahh...so ye find it disturbing to be talking like a Pirate, do ye? Mayhaps yer afraid, lest it become a permanent part of yer person...aye, well...ye should not be alarmed, for 'tho I be writing many a Pirate parody of late there be no affect upon me everyday manner of discourse, matey...
Ar, ye be shakin' that booty!
Thanks, Steven...
Don't know how I missed this one before....fantastic. 555!
