Parody Song Title:

"Pullin' Some Weeds Round My Orange Tree"

Parody Written by:

Ann Hammond

Pullin' some weeds round my Orange tree
While the clouds are'nt leaking rain
Not much more is there to see
But its blossoms are a gain

Pullin' some weeds round my Orange tree
Leave some grass bare ground it hides
Forty-eight de and no sunshine
Think I just chilled my insides

I just get a sentimental feeling when I see
Hoppers eating from the clovey
Worms that wiggle back and forthy

Pullin' some weeds round my Orange tree
Leaves a moat for rain to stay
Junco birds hopping merrily
From a save distance away

Instrumental

I just get a sentimental feeling when I see
Hoppers eating from the clovey
Worms that wiggle back and forthy

Pullin' some weeds round my Orange tree
Leaves a moat for rain to stay
Junco birds hopping merrily
From a save distance away
It's to cold it's too cold out here for me to stay

Are you a fellow Floridian? The 5's are flowing today-and you get three from me.

Dave- thanks I'm a Californian in the Central Valley and this is my first orange tree. I need shade in my garden for summer and sense I eat oranges thought I’d give an orange tree a try. There’s a humming bird that just loves the blossoms. Last time the tree blossomed it didn’t fruit. Maybe it needed a little more food then I’d been giving it.

I guessed that you live in California. Now is the time to weed before the heat is upon us again.

We got our fist snow (60th latitude North) this morning. But they are broadcasting another heat spell for next week... Darn global warming! Guess I need to arrange the sakura party under my cherry tree already in February...

Mr 1's thanks AFW-actually I was just pulling weeds round my orange tree and the idea just came. Thats how I get a lot of my ideas 2Eagle-It's not the heat that makes weeding hard it's the rock solid dry clay. Susanna- thanks
