funy concept...as the late great mitch hedburg once said "escalators can never break...they can only turn into stairs"
Escalators don't bother but the first time I was on a powered walkway (treadmill type thing)at Chicago's O'Hare airport I had this feeling it was going to speed up rapidly and shoot me off the end. Why, I don't know. I guess the flight there had creeped me out enough that I was expecting something bad to happen.
Thanks, alvin....that is a great line.....thanks, Red Ant.....my ex was just the opposite..she didn't mind automatic sidewalks...but she would balk like a horse at a high fence, when it came to escalators..afraid her foot was going to get caught, I guess...and I have heard of that happening, at least, on side areas
