Everybody's looking for a sandwich
A sandwich full of tasty things
You find them in obvious places
Places they really ought to be
Some find one in the place of their kitchen
Some find it in a corner shop
Who can deny the joy it brings
When you find your little treat

Some find it on their breakfast table
Some in their lonely little homes
You find it in the homes of others
A simple filling can make you laugh, or cry
You find it in you friends lunch boxes
The ones you'd love, for you own

Well, for me, it's cheese and tomato
To taste it is heavenly
To know that i can eat my sandwich

It's pieces of bread that only i know
