The Lyrics

This parody was inspired by Earl S. Garber's parody "Christmas Time". I know some who used to work in a department store and that was my other inspiration. This is song is from the POV of a department store worker dealing with inconsiderate shoppers on December 23.
Closing time;
Time to finalize
all of your Christmas shopping.

Closing time;
Hear this on the speaker and
the registers will be hopping.

Closing time;
Christmas is the
busiest time of the whole year.

Closing time;
You don't have to stop shopping
but you can't stay here.

There's a cart blocking aisle four.
There's a mess on the store room floor.
The toy aisle looks like it was at war.
I can't handle this season no more.

Closing time;
Because of this mess
we cannot leave until four.
