The Lyrics

Oh yes I'm the great presenter (ooh ooh)
Presenting the NEWS on TV (ooh ooh)
My need is such I'll present "GORBACH"
I'm sad, but no one can see

Oh yes I'm the great presenter (ooh ooh)
Adrift in a news of a world (ooh ooh)
I play the game to my real fame
Be with me and vote on me

Too real is this feeling of make a news
Too real when I feel and what I can't conceal

Ooh Ooh yes I'm the great presenter (ooh ooh)
Just telling the news of the world(ooh ooh)
I seem to be
What I'm cool (you see)
I'm wearing my suit like a skin
Pretending that you're loving me

Yeah ooh hoo
Too real when I feel and what I can't conceal

Ooh Ooh yes I'm the great presenter (ooh ooh)
Just telling the news of the world(ooh ooh)
I seem to be what I'm cool (you see)
I'm wearing my suit like a skin
Pretending that you're loving me

As a huge fan of 1950s music, and of this 1955 song by the Platters (I don't remember Queen doing it, but I think I've heard U2 try it), I was intrigued that someone would try it, but the result was, I'll be polite, not good. Very polite. "Only You and You Alone" can turn this around, or it could be "Twilight Time" for your parody career.

Actually...Great pretender was done by Freddie Mercury solo, not queen
Rock Princess - June 05, 2003 - Report this comment

Oh, and it's the wrong decade either way. The Platters released it in the 60's and Freddie Mercury covered it in the 80's.
TV OD - November 10, 2003 - Report this comment
No, RP, the Platters released it in the 50s. But that doesn't really matter.

TVOD, a guy named Michael mentioned it above.
