After taking a break from anti-Barney tirades with "Wilfred of Ivanhoe," I decided to produce another movement of anti-Barney rhetoric. I hope that this will deal effectively with the issue of his brainwashing of little children.
Stanza I.
They line the shopping malls--
The children for whom Barney's a friend--
To take in a concert where they will just pretend!
I know he's not all good;
These children loving him never should.
I hear the truth now--that Barney, you're a thug 'cos...

You're evil, Barney!
You're the root of all bad!
To me now watching
Television, you're mad!
You're no friend of little kids
'Cos they quickly will find you're evil, Barney!
Stanza II.
Behold! the mess we're in
Is due to television's great reach!
Were we Romanian, we'd be much, much smarter each!
As it is, we are not!
We need to make sure that Barney's caught
Commiting some crime that will prove he is not our friend, 'cos...

Burn Barney and his friends
At a burning stake
Or send him to a place
In a great earthquake!
In any old case, let's send this Barney to die!

DKTOS, but I'm glad to see you have broken out of your Amy Grant-bashing mode and moved on to other themes. How about parodies of Steve Taylor or The Devil Wears Prada?

Yeah, to take Barney out of context, I don't think our kids should have a slow-talking, slower-than-most-gesturing guy and all his slow-talking, slower-than-most-gesturing buddies who do nothing but sing songs any kid's already heard before and go over the same crap any parent's already heard their kids say when they were first trying to talk as a role model.
