Parody Written by:

I'd love to see this happen.
It's the Yankees and Red Sox, biggest rivals in sports
So call up your buds, wear your lucky shorts
The fans are all rowdy, no one's in their seat
It's the matchup of the century, tension that can't be beat
Yanks fans chant 1918, but that's outta sight
The Red Sox wanna get revenge this Monday Night!
So hit it!
Come on and hit it!
Come on and get ready!
Are you ready for some baseball?
When two rivals part-ay!
Pressured like the World Series
Ninety years and still rockin' (yeah!)
So put on your caps, and turn off the light
Red Sox-Yankees baseball here on Monday Night!

This was pretty good I thought. It's tough to vote on the pacing, since they always change the damn tune a little bit each year it seems. We'd have to get someone other than Hank Williams JR to sing it though. He's gettin' on my nerves. But I will say that I like him singing the theme more than I liek having various pop stars sing it every week. Pop music and football just don't go together.

Only 90 years? As that great New Englander Steven Tyler would say, "Dream on!"
