The chorus of this just popped into my head one day, so I felt the need to write a parody to go with it. I never had this experience, but I do feel exactly this way about sashimi.
And I used to just love eating sushi,
Yeah, you know it was my fav'rite dish.
Was the closest to Heaven that I could achieve,
Till I found out they used uncooked fish.
But now everything's tasting disguisting,
And I'm really not feeling all right.
Because I just ate lots of raw tuna,
Now I don't feel too hungry tonight.
And I don't want to eat that sashimi,
I'd prefer California rolls please,
Cause all meat is made to be cooked first,
And I might get some rare bad disease
Plus I'm pissed that the waiter ain't coming,
And the food that they serve makes me mad,
When they serve you some shrimp that's still moving,
And it bleeds when you poke it, THAT'S BAD!

(ABC's) I ate sushi when sushi wasn't cool. Sounds like another parody could be made from this. I lived in Japan in the mid 70s and the Americans I knew there would not go near this stuff on a dare. I had some Japanese friends that got me started on it and I've loved it ever since. You do have to worry about parasites so I don't eat it all that often any more but still like it when I can get it. I liked it a lot better when I was ignorant to the parasite problem. Loved your parody.

I love the joke on "The Simpsons". On the back of the sushi menu is a map to the hospital.

I love the Goo Goo Dolls, been wanting to make a parody of them for a while. The bleeding shrimp line was my fav too.
