Streaking was a US national phenomenon in the 1970s started mostly by college students at several Universities which spread to all forms of public events large and small- but most popular at sporting events. In March 1974 nearly 4000 students staged mass Streaking at the Universities of Georgia, Colorado, and Maryland. Less Streakers usually ran in early morning areas or low population centers, and only once in their lives for dare or fun. Streaking is not associated with normal nudity and nudists- it was a fad that could get one arrested if caught. Today Streaking can get someone labeled a "sex offender"!!!

Sometimes at sporting events these extreme nudists would appear,
hear how everyone laughs whenever they are near!

The fad reached its peak in February, not the best time to indulge in Kansas City. I missed out on the fun. Like you said, today this once innocent fad would get you on a permanent offenders list. There are always prosecutor ready to wreck some girl's life for sending nude cell phone pictures to her boyfriend. Lots easier than pursuing illegal immigrants and real criminals.

I well remember Flipper and streakers - even Ray Stevens' song about it. I saw the movie Flipper and watched the TV show. The dad on the TV show was nicer than Chuck Conners was in the movie.
