Hold with me on this one, it's been a few years. Four to be exact, after reading over "Rid of You" I wrote a while back, I decided to take another whack at it. So here it is.
To Be Rid Of You
Last night I had a crazy dream,
a wish was granted just for me.
A sexy girl in a black string bikini -
maybe some money, or a mansion in Malibu
and then I thought about one more day with you.
One more day, one more time -
each time you complain, I die a lil’ inside,
and then I know what I could do -
maybe I should wish, to be rid of you.
First thing I’d do is pray that you don’t call
so I’d unplug the telephone and keep the T.V. on.
I’d loathe every second I think of the million ‘I love you’s’.
that’s why I’d wish to be rid of you.
